Q&A for “Fantastic Fungi” with Guest Sarah Paul

Following the screening of FANTASTIC FUNGI on Saturday, August 1, we will have a special Q&A psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and licensed psilocybin facilitator, Sarah Paul. She will hosting an Introduction and post-screening Q&A. Don’t miss this 5 year celebration of the box office hit, returning with an enhanced experience. The film and topic are controversial, but Oregon is the first state to legalize the use of therapeutic psilocybin.
As an added bonus, before the film we will be screening the short SHROOM SISTERS directed by Mark Shapiro, filmmaker of the acclaimed documentary Downwind.
About our Special Guest
Sarah R. Paul PMHNP-BC began practicing nursing in 2006 after graduating from the University of North Florida. She has a background in cardiac diseases, neurological disorders and psychiatry. In 2013 she graduated from Washington State University to begin practice as an Advanced Registered psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (ARNP). She worked in acute care hospital settings focusing on severe and persistent psychiatric disorders, addiction treatments and has been working in private practice offering care for a multitude of psychiatric disorders. She enjoys time with her family and many hobbies, including motorsports, art and music. She believes that spiritual growth, body work, fitness and diet are an integral part of the healing process.
Sarah offers an integrative psychiatric approach to treating post traumatic stress disorder, mood disorders and addictions. She starts by evaluating the physical and psychological needs of a client and develops a personalized treatment plan to allow the best integration of the mind, body and spirit. This will provide an opportunity to assist the client in achieving their wellness goals. She will draw from her 15 years of experience in the treatment of psychiatric disorders and certification in psychedelic treatment modalities, in particular the combination of EMDR and psilocybin mushrooms. With these treatments Sarah hopes to provide greater relief than those found with traditional western psychiatric treatment.
