Following 3 of our screenings opening weekend, Anna Campbell will join us in person for in-person Q&As, offering insights into her filmmaking journey and the creative process behind NORA. As a local Portland filmmaker, Campbell’s local roots and dedication to authentic storytelling make this a can’t-miss event for film lovers and supporters of independent cinema.
Starring Campbell in the titular role, alongside Nick Fink and Sophie Baaden, NORA blends grounded drama with surrealist sequences that pay homage to iconic moments in pop culture.
About the Director
ANNA CAMPBELL, Lead Actress & Producer
After graduating from Lincoln HS, Portland native Anna Campbell moved to the east coast to attend Vassar College where she majored in Drama with honors before hightailing it back to the west coast. In LA she appeared in many shows including NCIS, Teachers, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Mad Men to name a few as well as indie films. She is also the voice of the evil robot Ash in the video game “Apex Legends”.
Now back in Portland, she has moved toward directing, with her first feature NORA set to premiere at Cinequest this March. You, Me, and Her is her second film with Dan Levy Dagerman and Selina Ringel, having worked with them on their previous film Single Mother By Choice. She’s thrilled to help bring this project to her hometown audience.
